Livvo Inspires, Will Rhodes on Fire - Vitality Blast Weekly Wrap



The English summer has shifted into white ball mode, with four Dragons involved in the opening stages of the Vitality Blast T20 competition.


Liam Livingstone started the tournament strongly, making 94 not out from 58 deliveries in Lancashire’s opening game against Derbyshire. Livingstone has made scores of 25, 25, 45, and 65 since, an aggregate of 254 runs in five innings at an average of 63.5 with a strike rate of 141.89.


Will Rhodes made 40 runs in Warwickshire’s first four fixtures, but found form with 79 from just 40 balls as the Bears defeated Leicestershire. The knock included five sixes and is Rhodes’ career best T20 score.


Cameron Bancroft has combined captaincy duties with a middle order role for Durham, scoring 52 runs in four games. Bancroft saw Durham home in their most recent fixture against Lancashire, finishing 29 not out as they chased down a total of 151 at the Riverside Ground.


Jack Brooks featured in Somerset’s first two games, finishing with figures of 1/13 from two overs against Essex and 0/28 from three overs against Surrey.
