The club is excited to announce that White Ribbon Australia has signed on as a player sponsor for the 2023/24 season.
White Ribbon will sponsor young exciting seam bowler Lukas Debnam. Lukas will benefit through a subsidisation of his playing fees along with a social membership.
White Ribbon's mission is to put a stop to men's violence against mission. Their vision is a nation where every woman is free from all forms of men’s violence and abuse.
White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement engaging men and boys to see this violence as their problem to fix, not women’s problem to tolerate. They're starting a conversation to reduce future incidences of violence, promote gender equality and start building positive relationships based on respect.
Their Primary Prevention approach is evidence-based and supported by national and international research. It is the framework they use to educate communities, schools and workplaces across the country.
Through their programs and campaigns, they engage with men and boys to be part of the solution, not the problem. By becoming an active part of the social change, they want them to see just how helpful they can be in putting a stop to violence against women for good.
